Terms of Service

• Quotes subject to current prices and dates specified. Any material/ labour price increases will need be submitted as variations before works commence. Any materials/ tools & plant required for works that were not specified by the client will be added as a variation.

• A deposit may be requested from Sapper Civil prior or during works taking place. If working off a purchase order, Sapper Civil may make a partial claim against the order.

• All earthworks must be complete prior to start dates. Ground work must be within 10mm either way prior to commencement. If not, hourly rate charges will be applied in order to get the ground level to the correct height.

• Any waiting time fees accrued for the installation of concrete will be a variation of this quote.

• Defect notices must be submitted via writing within 24hrs of the defect being known to the client to be recognised at all by Sapper Civil. Past that you agree to indemnify Sapper Civil against all defects. If a defect is approved, Sapper Civil and all respective parties must meet on site to view the defect and work out a solution to the defect. If any works proceed without Sapper Civil being informed, then the liability is waived and the persons who carried out the works is responsible moving forward.

• Any defects will not be rectified until Sapper Civil has received payment in full for works completed.

• Sapper Civil takes no responsibility for incorrect work resulting in covenant on the property. It is the client's responsibility to ensure the works they are requesting falls within Code.

• Access to site or any other delays outside the control of Sapper Civil may result in variations to original price.

• Sapper Civil does not accept liability for damages or deformities to works after completion of works; ie Cracking due to loading being applied to the slab before cure time has passed. Negligence towards curing procedures if specified. Any interaction from the owners or public which defaces/ deforms or damages the works.

• Sapper Civil applies all preventions possible to stop cracking, however concrete can crack unexpectedly due to uncontrollable circumstances.

• Sapper Civil does not take responsibility for the shortfalls of other contractors: i.e Concrete Pump Companies and or Concrete Supply companies. Sapper Civil will be indemnified from all liability for incorrect works if any of the mentioned companies fail to uphold their product.

• Services: All services on site or on the property that fall into Sapper Civils construction area must be highlighted prior to construction taking place. Any failure to highlight underground services will indemnify Sapper Civil from being held responsible for damage and repair costs. Lost hours in work due to said services being contacted will be charged on hourly. It is the Owner/Client’s responsibility to expose any services in the area. Failure to do so may required SC to expose. Any costs associated with exposing services will be cost plus and passed on immediately to the client.

• If works are scheduled, all services requiring isolation must be done so previously and proof of isolation provided before construction taking place. Any delays to schedule inherited by Sapper Civil will be charged on accordingly.

By accepting a quote or requesting Sapper Civil pty ltd to preform works, you acknowledge and accept the above terms and conditions.
